Bookbinding Workshops
In June, I was invited to host a bookbinding workshop at Stockport Zine Fair. Throughout a two-hour session, I guided attendees through the process of making a single-section, case-bound book. I taught correct folding techniques and tool usage, how to sew signatures and select appropriate papers.
I aimed to make traditional bookbinding accessible and enjoyable, encouraging people to explore the tactile satisfaction of creating a book by hand. This workshop reflected my belief in craft as a communal, inclusive act and my interest in reimagining the book as both object and shared creative experience.
